In June 2000, the former Mantova's organization and Umbria Olli S.p.A entered into a partnership, launching Compagnia Alimentare Italiana. The Mantova's organization has the honor and the commitment to continue one hundred years of tradition and holding an unparallel experience in the production of quality olive oils. Umbria Olii S.p.A (Spoleto) is among the strongest in the Mediterranean industrial olive oil market; it aims to support the Mantova's with industrial and financial resources. Together they form a complementary force, with common intents to develop Compagnia Alimentare Italiana by continuing building a successful "premium quality" leadership position in the international Italian food market.

Tradition

The Mantova Family began their business in 1905 in Broccostella, about 100 km south of Rome. In the beginning it dedicated itself to the trading of a vast variety of agricultural products made locally in its region. Between the 50s and the 80s the family focused its attention on developing into one of the leading manufacturers of quality olive oils. In the 90s the Family redesigned the strategy, its almost centenary company, thus aiming at the enlargement of its product span in order to include all the essential elements of the Italian cuisine.

We are traditionally specialized in the production of olive oil, recognized through our vast and segmented productive capacity. During the last 15 years we have focused additional attention upon research with the aim of expanding our business towards products with common denominators with the world of olive oil: Flavoured oils, Sauces and Condiments. For each production area, we have developed an extensive range of products as well as managing great productive capacities, effectively meeting the more varied market requirements. "Big enough to serve, small enough to care": this aphorism perfectly summarizes the essence of our strength; our organizations capacities enable us to offer services equal to the biggest multinationals yet simultaneously our agile and traditional structure grants us an adequate flexibility and control to ensure consistent and exclusive direct control on quality standards.

A specialized experience and comprehensive knowledge, (acquired from over 20 years in the collaboration of Private Labels destined exclusively for Supermarket Chains), makes our organization a "Specialist in Private Label". For us, "Private Label" is both important and strategic and represent an essential component of our business. Our vast productive capacity and Private-Label-Oriented management enable us to guarantee a "dedicated" co-packing commitment of uncommon experience on the market.

Compagnia Alimentare Italiana has chosen to sell its Products and Services exclusively and directly to major Supermarket Chains and International Importers all around the world. Today's 40 customers represent the base of a continuing expanding network of Primary Accounts on all international markets. We are looking to expand our distribution with strong commitment to service and marketing support to all our customers. Within Compagnia Alimentare Italiana international sales are a vocation and maintain a Primary role within the entire organization. Currently International sales represent 80% of total business.Sales services are carried out by 1 Director and his office staff, cooperating with independent Key Account Managers. Some of our major international customers are: Baselica Ltd (UK); RHM (Ireland); Carniato Europe (France); Plus, Norma (Germany); Delange (Belgium); Zeiz, ISPC, (Holland); A&P, Gigi Imports (Canada); Nima USA, WegmansÕ, Sisco, Safeway, Gourmet Awards (USA); F.E.D.S (Taiwan); Deckers (Egypt); SPAR (South Africa); Domestic Customers are: Gruppo PAM (Pam, Panorama, Superal, INÕs, Metˆ, Brek), COOP Italia, CPL, LSG De Montis, Sodexo Italia, Ligabue.
